About the Pastor

On August 29, 1971, Pastor Reeder was born to Rev. Thomas N. Reeder Sr. and Mrs. Joan Reeder in Texas.  His family later moved to Kansas City, MO.  He has lived also in St. Louis, MO, Houston, MO, Wauwatosa, WI, and Platteville, WI.   He has one older sister and one younger brother.

Pastor Reeder graduated Cum Laude from University of Central Missouri with a B.S. in Psychology in May of 1994.  It is there that he met Yunmei (Mei), his wife, through the LCMS campus ministry.  Pastor Reeder and Mei were married in August of 1995 and are blessed with two boys, Enosh & Eagan.

In May of 1999, Pastor Reeder graduated with the Master of Divinity Degree (MDiv) from Concordia Seminary – St. Louis, MO.  During his second to last year at Seminary, he served as Vicar at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale, IL.  There he was primarily responsible for the International Student Ministry for students attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  In May of 2011, Pastor Reeder received the Master of Sacred Theology (STM) from Concordia Theological Seminary – Fort Wayne, IN.

Pastor Reeder’s first call was as Assistant Pastor of Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa, WI.  In December of 2003, Pastor Reeder began serving Apostles Lutheran Church in Platteville, also as campus pastor for students attending UW-Platteville.

On January 13, 2019, St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richland Center extended a call to Pastor Reeder to serve them as their pastor, which he accepted. PastorSt Luke Reeder is serving Apostles Lutheran Church in Platteville and St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richland Center as the pastor of this newly formed dual parish.

In addition to serving as pastor at Apostles and St. Luke, Pastor Reeder also teaches for Concordia University Wisconsin, Madison Center, online for Concordia University St. Paul, and online in the area of ethics. Pastor Reeder also currently serves as Circuit Visitor for Circuit 18 of the South Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
